Description
Bača river flows through the Klonte Valley between the settlements of Hudajužna and Koritnica. Several tributaries flow into the river as waterfalls, but only one is actually permanent.
The primary waterfall is approximately 25 meters high and is a fan-type cascade. Its water level is very low during the summer, while spring and autumn usually offer a rich flow. Just 30 meters upstream from this point, several non-permanent waterfalls can be found. At this location, the Bača river itself flows over a 4-meter high cascade where a small hydroelectric power station is situated.
Attention: The road through the canyon is very narrow and carries traffic. It is recommended to visit on foot from Koritnica (approx. 1500 m), as there are no designated parking places near the canyon itself. Please exercise extreme caution.
Permanent waterfall as seen from the road between Koritnica and Hudajužna.
