Description
The valley of Suha Pišnica is one of the more hidden areas near the popular Vršič pass. While the pass itself offers fabulous panoramic views of the high peaks, the surrounding rockwalls of Prisojnik hide many legends, including the famous Ajdovska deklica (Heathen Maiden).
To the left of her stony face is the "Slap v Hudičevem žlebu" (Waterfall in the Devil's channel). Although it appears unapproachable from a distance, it is a safe and pleasant 30-minute hike.
Access
The trail starts at Koča na Gozdu (a mountain hut along the Vršič road). It is a fine 30-minute walk to the bottom of the fall. The hike is suitable for families and does not require specialized mountaineering boots.
