The Chapel of the Virgin of the Snows on Krvavec (1926-28).
Designed by the architect Jože Plečnik, the chapel stands on the Krvavec plateau and represents one of his most beautiful architectural interventions in the high mountain landscape. It was built for shepherds and mountain visitors, characterized by the use of local materials, primarily stone, which blends seamlessly with the surroundings. The interior of the chapel reflects Plečnik's sense for sacred equipment and details, creating a magnificent impression despite the modest size of the space.
