Kranjska Gora info english slovensko Muzej uvod - Museum prologue
The Liznjek farmhouse is a genuine " Alpine House" which was erected several centuries ago and bears witness to the folk architecture of the eighteenth and early nineteenthcenturies. With a basement below its entirety (stable and cellar), a mansonry ground floor, wooden main living quarters, a stone walled "black kitchen", closet, wide hall, vestibuled chambers (the two black rooms served as a granary and living room), and a wooden closet above the entrance, Liznjek's house was, for its time, one of the most advanced examples of rural architecture in the area - a prototype that remaines virtually unchanged to this day.
Upon renovation in 1983, the house was turned into a richy furnished museum - rich in terms of the number and variety of originalimplements characteristic of the period when the house was in its prime.
