Planina Koren is a pasture mountain in the circus of the Korošica Valley. The area of the pasture mountain is located below the eastern slopes of the ridge of Jež (Velika Zvoh (1972 m n.v.) - Vrh Korena (1999 m n.v.)) and the western slopes of Košutna (1974 m n.v.). On the mountain there is a shepherd's hut of the Kriška planina pasture community.
"Grazing community Kriška planina is a pasture community in the Krvavec area. Its area is the northern slope of Krvavec; i.e. to individual sections: Dou, Black, Vrh Krvavec, Njivice, Zvoh.
The mountain was owned by the current owners of the Counts of Kriški from the village of Križ near Kamnik. Hence the name Kriška planina. The mountain was purchased in 1921 for 160 livestock heads.
Today, the Kriška planina grazing community consists of 36 members, of which about 20 of whom graze on the mountain livestock regularly. About 200 heads of livestock graze on Planina from mid-June to mid-September annually. "(Source: http://me-po.com/pasnik.html) |
