Hotedršica is a picturesque settlement situated on a karst polje (elevation 545 m) along the Hotenjka brook. Located in the municipality of Logatec, the village lies along the regional road connecting Kalce and Godovič.
The old village nucleus is dominated by the parish church of St. John the Baptist. The settlement is architecturally significant due to the contributions of the renowned architect Jože Plečnik, who designed the monumental staircase by the church and the landscaped banks of the Hotenjka brook.
The area is a classic example of karst landscape, where the brook eventually disappears into the underground, reflecting the dynamic geography of the Inner Carniola region. It serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the Logatec karst plateaus.
