The Cathar château of Peyrepertuse is perched above Duilhac village on the old frontier between France and Spain, nowadays located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France (Aude department). This spectacular fortress rests securely along a jagged limestone ridge, situated to the west of the neighboring Queribus fortress.
