Ljubljana, Prešernov trg. 20. let Amnesty International Slovenije in 60. obletnica sprejema Splošne deklaracije človekovih pravic. 10. decembra 1948 je Generalna skupščina Združenih narodov sprejela Splošno deklaracijo človekovih pravic. Na Prešernovem trgu so 9. decembra 2008 po 18:30 uri na predvečer dneva človekovih pravic, prižgali tisoč svečk za človekove pravice.

Ljubljana was already with the New Year's decoration which boasts with the splendor and the progress of the civilization. But what is the progress of our civilization ... the consumption of natural sources and the self proclamation of the Human to be the owner of the whole World? How can the Man rule the World when it can not even respect the rights of every single human. As on December 10, 1948 the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, on the eve of the 60th anniversary 1000 candles were lighted for human rights.
